The first unisex one-of-a-kind ring collection from SIXTH NIGHT, “Sign,” will debut on Saturday, October 11.
The origin of this design lies in a ring the designer created for her partner. The opal, his birthstone, sits at the center, surrounded by hand-engraved arabesque motifs and initials. The opal index ring is worn by the designer’s partner.
The index finger has long been seen as a symbol of will and determination.
The ring the designer wore daily on her index finger became the inspiration for what would later become the “Sign” collection.
Created as the first unisex ring by SIXTH NIGHT, each “Sign” piece is individually hand-formed to follow the natural shape of the gemstone and hand-engraved with traditional Japanese Wabori motifs.
The designer travels abroad to source gemstones firsthand. Combining a white gold ring with a yellow gold bezel, the layered metals and sculptural form evoke a powerful sense of beauty.

At the flagship store, SIXTH NIGHT GINZA, clients can consult directly with the designer to select a gemstone and create a fully personalized “Sign” ring featuring a custom combination of initials and arabesque engraving. The production period is approximately six months.
